Why?
It's the team working there. I mean they have a great selection and great prices but that's not what decides who earns my business.
Being new-ish to firearms I had a ton of questions. Some were horribly stupid but they answered every single one. And they never made me feel silly.
If I walked in and said I'm not looking to buy that day but I just want to window shop they were happy to entertain me looking at a dozen guns. And what really got me... They never try to sell me something I don't need. If I say I just want something to play around at the range with they show me the $200 gun.

"IMO the best gun shop I've visited. Being new to hunting in my 40's I've had a hard time finding a gun shop that actually takes the time to help me find the right rifle or help make my rifle more comfortable. Most hunters or gun enthusiasts have experienced walking into a gun shop and receiving little to no help. If you are new to hunting or guns in general you will not feel awkward at Dave's Gun Shop. They will take the time to help you regardless of how busy they are. Their work is top notch. They are knowledgeable and their prices are reasonable. What else could you ask for. Although its a little bit of a drive for me its well worth the drive. As long as they're around I won't be visiting another gun shop. A++" -Phil Vitale

"Don't let the exterior fool you. This is a well stacked firearm store with a good selection and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Prices are absolutely competitive. The more personal and relaxed atmosphere is so different from the big outdoor stores , nobody here is on edge when you want to feel the trigger of a firearm like they do in Ba..P. and in Da. Spo. where they insist in leaving the trigger lock installed. Thank you Lord we don't need these places because we have independent stores like Daves that understand their business.
